Deep within the Garhwal Himalayas lies the sacred region of Kedarkhand, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Panch Kedar Yatra is one of the most revered pilgrimages, taking devotees to five ancient temples associated with different parts of Shiva’s divine form.

According to the Mahabharata, Lord Shiva appeared in the form of a bull and different parts of his body emerged at five places, now worshipped as Panch Kedar:

  • Kedarnath – Hump of Shiva
  • Tungnath – Arms of Shiva
  • Rudranath – Face of Shiva
  • Madhyamaheshwar – Navel of Shiva
  • Kalpeshwar – Jata (hair) of Shiva

This journey involves trekking through remote valleys, forests, and alpine meadows, offering a unique blend of spirituality, adventure, and natural beauty.
